Her Canadian roots and love of truly fluffy American style cupcakes inspired her to bring her cupcakes to Frankfurt in 2012.
Step by step, she learned the craft of baking through trial and error and passed Germany’s Konditor exams while at the same time introducing her idea to the world and making networks and trying to translate her passion and idea into a thriving business.
Das Cupcake has grown organically from strength to strength and the world of baking has transformed Ewa into an entrepreneur, a Konditorin, a businesswoman and a teacher.
Today she gets to work with multinational companies and develop custom cupcake designs for their marketing campaigns and consult brides and grooms in order to create perfectly delicious and beautiful cupcakes that reflect them on their special day.
Ewa takes pride in showcasing her baking and décor skills and would love to bring something sweet, stylish and perfectly individual to your next event. In 2013 she launched the Ewa Feix Akademie in Frankfurt where she turns the enthusiasm of her German students into beautiful cupcakes.
She introduces them to the tools of the trade and imparts on them all the tips and tricks to working with fondant to create edible works of art. In 2015, Ewa had the opportunity to publish a book.
“Zuckersüss” is compilation of recipes not just limited to the world of decorating cupcakes, but is just as dedicated to design ideas for cake pops, cookies, big celebration cakes and macarons. As the founder of the catering company “Das Cupcake” in 2012 and baking school “Ewa Feix Akademie” in 2013, in 2018 Ewa opened her new baking studio close to Frankfurt in the lovely Taunus town of Waldems which is easily reachable by car and public transport from the whole Rhein Main region.
In 2021, Ewa launched her online classes. She teaches nation-wide via Zoom calls. Online galleries fill up with participants that can log in from anywhere in Germany. Boxes filled with already measured ingredients and professional tools to use, arrive at your home. During the virtual class, Ewa will guide you through the preparation and piping process and to give you enough momentum and guidance to create the perfect macarons or cake pops.
